We believe trafficking is SLAVERY.

Specifically, women trafficking makes reference to old and new ways of slavery. Situations oriented to control, to exploit and subdue women.

 

Women victims of trafficking have been cheated and/or abducted in their home countries or when they were living in another country. They have been threatened and forced to live in inhumane conditions, or to work against their will. They have been subject to different ways of psychological and physical abuse.

 

Trafficking is a complex issue that takes place in different forms and contexts. Border Woman highlights the links between trafficking, women and immigration because we have suffered trafficking as migrant women.
